Sooooo much to show today:-)

My day began with an last minute audition for Dove...I'm in a hurry so why don't you come along?

This is the casting office of a woman named Shane. I haven't gone for two audition at the same office since I've started the blog!

I signed in and sat down with the other women waiting to audition for the role of a casual bride...

Here's the dress that I wore for the Dove audition. I decided it was a beach wedding:-) The outfit was on for exactly 1 hour because I had to run home and change for my next audition!

This is ANOTHER casting office run by Kris & Jodi. I was auditioning for the role of a casual shopper for Home Depot so the dress was too much. For the audition, I had to talk about my life on camera, so I talked about my sisters & brothers!

Here's the casual shopper outfit. Pink was MY color today!

This is where we wait for our turn to audition at this office. There were 3 auditions at this office today so it was packed. The audition rooms are way in the back down the hallway where the girl with the green striped shirt is standing.

AUNTIE KASEY/MAMA'S TIME LIVING IN LOS ANGELES

Per Kasey's request, I stopped by some memories of her time in Los Angeles...it is very difficult to take photos of places on busy streets but I did my best...

When I first moved to Los Angeles, Kasey told me to go to {drum roll please} MOLLY Malone's, a local hangout. Today I parked the car and got up close just for you, Miss Mols!

Notice the Irish and the American flags proudly displayed not once but twice:-)

I loved this sign with Molly's name on it and the three leaf clover crest on the wall...it reminded me of Molly's Irish Stepdancing!

I think Kasey probably made some noise when she visited Molly Mallone's with her friends, don't you?

It was pretty dark inside but I did manage to get a faint image of inside for you, Kasey!

Then it was time to stop by Kasey's old church in Los Angeles, which happens to be Auntie Beth's church now....

We call the church St. Vibiana's for short, but the bishop would probably call it Cathedral Church...I think we parishioners like having a Saint's name...it feels more blessed!

The front of St. V's...it's not a very large church but the 10 a.m. mass on Sunday has great music with a church choir...Sister Joan teaches the religion classes...my friend Bridget received her confirmation here in April---Auntie Beth was Bridget's sponsor...
Now it was time to head to Kasey's old neighborhood...

When you travel down the street from St. Vibiana's, you hit the intersection for San Vicente Blvd, the street where Kasey lived in Los Angeles. I followed the car taking a right turn onto San Vicente...

and we climb the pretty hill...

finally arriving at the corner where Kasey's Villa Vicente complex begins!

the complex has several gates where you can enter...but I liked this gate the best:-)
There is a brief glimpse into your Mom before she had you kids!!!

AUNTIE BETH IS A CLEANING GENIUS
I thought I was done with photos for the day but you must celebrate with me. I did a spring cleaning for 6 hours tonight-CRAZY!!!
if you take the back stairs down to the first floor...
and go out the back door...

you find the stairs down to the laundry room...

where we have one, yes one, washer and dryer for the whole building...I did 7 loads of laundry tonight...Harold, my laundry pile, is gone! All my clothes are now put away or hung up, and I recycled 150 magazines and shredded tons of old documents...I was on a roll...

sooo here is my very clean loveseat now...and the final missing view of my apartment...the back of my front door which I call my wall of inspiration....if you've ever written me a kind note, it's probably there...

So very proud of my clean bedroom...fresh sheets, bed made...go adulthood!

see, no more Harold on the floor...laundry is done done done...

...proving that I'm not just hiding Harold in my closet:-) This is the new EMPTY laundry bucket I bought at Target yesterday...
My apartment is so clean...I rock...totally, for serious...
I love you lots, and miss you more-

My Computer Won't Upload from My Camera!!!

This has never happened before...my computer always recognized the camera plugged in and uploaded the photos immediately...UGH!
And I took lots of cool photos today...off to read the instruction manual for the camera:-)
Give me an hour, fingers crossed! oxB

2 Posts, so keep reading...

I got the call today at 10:30 am that I was either 1st or 2nd choice for the US Bank commercial...at 6:30 pm, I found out I was 2nd choice so I did not get the job...

but onward and upward...let's go on another audition with Auntie Beth, shall we?

This is the office building of one of the top casting directors in Los Angeles, Francene.
This is the back office where actors cannot go! These office workers use their computers to look at over 1000 photos of women like me, then they pick 50-80 to invite to the audition. Today I auditioned for Target.

This is David whom I just met today. He played my husband in the commercial audition. When we audition, we do & say the same things they will do in the actual commercial on tv.
After an audition, they pick the best 15 actors to callback...then at the callback, they pick their top 2 actors for each role...finally, they pick their first choice...
See the Allstate blue sign on the top floor of this building? In 2005, that was my tax office when I was still working for my old boss. I spent alot of time on tax letters there!!!

Here is my favorite restaurant ever...a little italian place Miceli's...I took KK & Meg there when they visited! The restaurant has a piano and all the servers must sing very well. They sing while you eat, lots of broadway show tunes!!!
This is the main building for the NBC/Universal offices in Universal City. Universal City has a citywalk for food & games...then there are business offices for movie makers...finally, it has fun rides featuring characters like Shrek, Bart Simpson and the Jurassic Park dinosaurs...
Next I went shopping...this is the West Hollywood Gateway, and it is fabulous...there is a Starbucks, a Target, a Best Buy and several eateries...look how sunny it was outside!
When Target does not have everything you want, it's time to head to KMart...which I did...in 100 degree weather...hot hot hot!
Finally, I got to the post office seconds before closing time...Annie likes to get mail so Auntie Beth sent some:-)
This is my friend Michael. When I first moved to Los Angeles, he was a postal teller. Now he is the finiancial supervisor of the branch...Go Michael!!!
Keep reading below for the 2nd update of the day...
I love you lots, miss you more-

My Tuesday...I'm a day behind with my photos already!!!

This is my friend Kristin Anderson. Auntie Lisa & Auntie Kasey and I all went to Mercy High School with her! We walked to Antonio's on Melrose for a late lunch and margaritas. Kristin was great about letting me take a photo. She said "I never wear makeup anyway!". I took this photo before we meandered back to my house...such a beautiful day outside and such a good time with a friend!

This is my girl, Persephone. She is a betta fish which is also called a Japanese fighting fish. Most betta females are greyish but Persephone is special:-)

This is Ivy. She gets a tad annoyed with how hot & dry it is in California---it was 100 degrees today!--so I have to water her often. I used to forget alot, but I remember more often now that I bought my Hello Kitty watering can.
This is my tax office area in the kitchen...notice the many photos of you kids on the wall...and there is my green Hello Kitty watering can on top of the wood cabinet on the left!

Moving around to the other area of the kitchen-it's hard to take a picture in here-here's my fridge with MORE photos of you kids...and there's the lantern Molly made me hanging down on the left top corner of the photo...

I know you guys love me no matter what...so remember, Auntie Beth is an adult and lives alone...and if I waited until the apartment was perfectly clean to take photos, it would probably never happen...so here's my kitchen sink area, with all my diet coke and water bottles piling up-go adulthood!!!

Another room which is hard to photograph is the bathroom...but here's where I pretty up...the walls are sky blue like the bedroom...I tried to make everything in the bathroom blue or yellow, but the bath petals & lotions in pink didn't fit anywhere else!

This is the door to the bathroom and if you look closely, you can see the streaks where Auntie Beth got hair dye on the door...try as I might to wipe it off, it is now part of my apartment for good! I add at least 2 or 3 spots every time I dye my hair now...but the red is worth it:-)

This is my bedroom...do not be like Auntie Beth in this area...the bed is not made, the clothes to the left of the door are waiting to go to Goodwill...and Harold, my laundry pile, is on the right side of the photo...go adulthood!!!

and finally, the loveseat which I seem to use as a wardrobe sorting rack...that's the new phonebook in the orange bag---in my defense, it did just arrive that day...and then there's the clean laundry in the mesh bag that has waited patiently to be folded and put away since July 28th, the day I flew to CT to visit...again in my defense, it's only workout clothes...go adulthood!!!
I love you lots, and miss you more...

Audition Time!

Yes, it's a midday update...some days there are lots of photo opportunities, some days not so much:-)

Molly asked about my work so let's go to my audition today, shall we?

When I arrived at The Casting Studios, the biggest casting office in Los Angeles, there was a sign which told me where my audition was. As you can see, I was in room 10...and the "CB" after US Bank stands for callback!

I headed toward room 10 where I signed the sheet on the table outside the door with the time, my name and my agency information. This lets them know who has arrived and is waiting to audition in the waiting room.

So I sat and waited...with lots of other actors as you can see...my callback went well...they actually asked me about the butterflies on my fingernails, Molly!!! And then they asked me more questions about our times together. It was great because I was pretending to be a Mom for the audition---they were very happy that I liked kids...

There can be 9 other auditions happening at The Casting Studios...so I turned the corner and there was my friend Buckley waiting for her KMart callback. Go back up to the list-do you see what room she was in?
I had to get a photo of her because...Buckley is the person who taught my class last night! Even though I didn't have time to get photos of my class last night, I'm already making up for it:-)

Wow, No Time for Photos?????????

It was our first class tonight so we were very busy...and I didn't get a chance to take photos!!!

BUT tomorrow I have a callback for US Bank, a meeting with a friend from highschool for tax help, lunch at one of my favorite restaurants, and a fishtank cleaning for Persephone...so both my apartment and Persephone's tank will be clean enough for me to take photos...

AND you'll also see my photos of my highschool friend Kristin, the place I go to audition for commercials, and one of my favorite restaurants in Los Angeles...with possibly some photos of my CVS and/or Target thrown in there, who knows? Big Day tomorrow!!!

I love you very much and miss you more-

I think it might be my sinuses...but it threw me off schedule yesterday, soooo no 2nd posting on Sunday like I said, sorry:-(

Tonight I start a class about money with some friends of mine so I will be sure to take pictures and post when I get home at midnight!
